The smallest portions in Darlington and the chips were half cooked. They even have the cheek to charge you an extra 5p if you want your food wrapped ! A pensioner came in to the shop to buy some fish & chips and she paid for her order with coppers and five pences, and the lady behind the counter only gave her about ten chips to go with her fish. I did not get many more chips, either ! Bigger portions and cheaper meals in other Darlington chippies. Won't be returning. Very stingy staff.

Mowden Park Fisheries is a traditional fish and chip shop which is reasonably priced. They offer all the usuals such as gravy, curry sauce, battered sausage and yummy pineapple rings!
They are very generous with their portions too and are open at lunch and dinner time! -

Great if you go in between 5.00-6.00pm when they are freshly frying. But after that the fish & chips get left in the heated cabinets so then isn't so great. Not sure about peak times at lunchtime.
